Sires
Over the years at Windswept Farms we have prided ourselves on outstanding flock sires. Each ram has made his own special contribution to our flock, with improvements in horns, conformation, fleeces, colors, patterns and tails.
In the fall of 2007 we are using the following three flock sires:

Bluff Country Apocalypse (Paco) is new this year at Windswept Farms. He is a very large-boned moorit HST ram with excellent conformation, beautiful wide sweeping horns, and a perfect tail. He has a distinctly double-coated moorit fleece.
Paco was First Place Yearling Ram and Champion Shetland Ram at the Midwest Shetland Sheep Show at the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival in 2004.

Sheltering Pines Regale is also being used for the first time this fall. He is a gorgeous black gulmoget ram. He has excellent conformation, impressive spiraling horns, and an ideal Shetland tail. Regale has a lovely, long, soft, crimpy, single-coated fleece.
Regale was Third Place Yearling Ram at the 2007 Indiana State Fair. Regale was First Place Yearling Ram and Champion Shetland Ram at the 2007 Michigan Fiber Festival.

Red Ram Billy Joel has been producing outstanding lambs at Windswept Farms for the past two years. He is a mioget smirslet ram and passes both modified color genetics and spotting genetics on to his offspring. Billy is a large, long, stocky ram with thick spiraling horns and a long, wavy, soft fleece.
Billy was First Place Adult Ram for All Breeds at the Allegan County 4H Sheep Show in both 2006 and 2007. His ram lambs and his ewe lambs have proven themselves in the show ring as class winners, Champions and Reserve Champions.
